Today, 17th Feb 2026, we’re stepping into the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse, and you’ve probably already heard people talking about the big shift in energy from the Year of the Snake.
The Story the Tarot Cards Are Telling Us In July 2026
The Snake has been about shedding, releasing, and quietly letting go of what no longer fits.The Fire Horse feels very different. It’s bold, passionate and ready to take action!
So I’ve created a Tarot card spread to help guide us as we move into this exciting new phase and find out where all that fiery energy wants to take us in this Year of the Fire Horse.
Card One - What do we need to let go of? - FOUR OF PENTACLES
Stop hanging on to ‘stuff’ or being overly protective of what you have in this world - money, finances in general, house, belongings. Take a risk!
Card Two - In which direction should I be flowing? - TEN OF WANDS
To the completion and achievement of a project of passion. Maybe work/career goals, a hobby or new direction. You’re ready for a new challenge and you intend to smash it!
Card Three- What do I need to control or keep a careful eye on? - JUDGEMENT
Judgement also talks of rebirth, a new start – but in this position it's suggesting that the passion project mentioned above, will need to have structure or targets along the way, rather than letting the passion run away with itself.
Card Four - What will make me tick this year? - WHEEL OF FORTUNE
You know that you deserve more and believe that it will happen
Card Five- What's the risk involved? - THE MOON
The moon suggests that you know that this is a risk. There are elements of your new bold move that you haven’t worked out yet or brought out into the open . There’s a reason for that – so play the game strategically. Don’t give all your secrets and plans away.
Card Six - Where will this take me? - PAGE OF PENTACLES
Although this card doesn’t suggest immediate success – it does indicate that the new path you’re on is grounded, achievable and structured. No longer just passion and ideas, your new energy is taking shape in the physical world.
