Tarot Card for the Week commencing Sunday

4th October 2026

The Fool

Welcome!

The Story the Tarot Card Is Telling Us This Week

THE FOOL. Well what about this! Last week our card was the very last of the 22 Major Arcana, The World, symbolising the completion of a life cycle. This week we have The Fool, which is the card that begins the Major Arcana (being number 0), and a wonderfully apt signal that as one cycle ends, another is ready to begin.

This card also blends very well with the message from our Cards for the Month of October published on the 1st. There, the Page of Cups encouraged us to remain open-hearted and curious, and The Fool takes that message one step further: what might happen if we're prepared to take the first step and act on that openness?

Our Fool is no fool. He is on the brink of taking a first step into something new. Others may doubt his judgement and, even he can't know exactly where this path will lead.

But that's the point. He trusts himself and his intuition enough to begin (which is also a link back to the guidance we had for the month of October).

The Fool accepts that he's no expert here, but he's open to learning and discovering what's needed along the way. Who knows where the second and third steps will lead? He certainly doesn't! The important thing is having the courage to take that first bold step with an open mind.

I feel that for this first week of October, The Fool is asking us to be adventurous, confident and prepared to go forward without necessarily knowing how things will turn out.

Questions to Consider

💙 What is that one important step that I need to make but is outside my comfort zone?

💙 Am I waiting until I know exactly how something will turn out before I'm willing to begin?

This week's message

You don't need to know every step of the journey. You just need the courage to take the first one.

This week I've used the Tattoo Tarot deck. At readings it's always a popular one with clients.
