Tarot Card Reading for the Month of September 2026

Cards for
September 2026
A reading
for the month ahead
Our three cards are:
The Page of Pentacles
The Star
Death
Welcome!
Happy September! Here are my 3 cards for the month.
I've drawn from the full 78-card Tarot deck, exploring:
• What do we need to know?
• What may challenge us?
• What guidance will help?
Our September reading comes from the Memory Fragments Tarot. As you know, being a pip-deck girl, I'm not a big fan of the popular image-reliant Rider Waite style cards, but I enjoy using this deck as the images aren't too intrusive.
The Story the Tarot Cards Are Telling Us
My first impression is that the key to a successful and productive September may lie with taking time to think about our personal goals and what makes us tick. Plan to clear the decks of anything that's slowing or stopping this from happening. If we keep vigilant and keen to learn, new paths to our goals could open up this month.
What do we need to know?
Card One - The PAGE of PENTACLES
As the only Minor Arcana card of the three, the Page encourages us to move gently into September with a keen and open mind. Pages bring a child-like curiosity and enthusiasm for what's to come, and coupled with the practical, grounded energy of Pentacles, this could point towards learning or progress in areas such as career, home, finances or health.
The Page isn't an expert. He's here to learn, reminding us that sometimes progress begins simply by being curious enough to ask, "What don't I know yet?
Questions to Reflect On
💙 Where in my practical life would I like to make progress?
💙 What might I need to investigate or understand before taking the next step?
What may challenge us?
Card Two - The STAR
For me, the Star is such a positive card, filled with hope, authenticity and a sense of following our own guiding light. So why would it appear as a challenge?
Well, perhaps the challenge isn't the Star itself, but our ability to follow it.
Whereas the Page of Pentacles is concerned with practical progress, the Star asks us to think about whether or not the things we're working towards actually align with who we are. We may know what we feel we should be doing, but everyday responsibilities, other people's needs or simply a lack of opportunity can make it difficult to follow that path.
Perhaps September asks us to notice where that frustration is coming from rather than ignoring it.
Questions to Reflect on
💙 Am I moving towards something that genuinely fulfils me, or simply doing what is expected of me?
💙 What is making it difficult for me to follow my own guiding light at the moment?
What guidance will help?
Card Three - DEATH
It might sound like an odd card to pull for Guidance, but Death actually gives us a very definite way forward! This card represents transition, but it's not simply about moving from A to B. It asks us to consider what we need to leave behind in order to make that move successfully.
Perhaps that's something physical, such as clearing clutter or finally dealing with an overflowing to-do list. Or it could be emotional: an old habit, an expectation, a belief or even a relationship that continually drains our energy.
Death doesn't ask us to just clear the decks, it asks us to recognise what we're done with, and is now taking up space that could be used for something new.
Question to Reflect on:
💙 What feels cluttered or unnecessarily complicated in my life at the moment?
💙 What has run its course and may be preventing something new from developing?
Looking Ahead
Together, these cards suggest that September isn't necessarily about charging ahead.
The Page of Pentacles asks us to stay curious and be willing to learn.
The Star reminds us not to lose sight of what genuinely matters to us.
And Death asks us to be brave enough to clear away whatever is making that path unnecessarily difficult.
Perhaps we need to decide what deserves our energy... and make room for it.
Learn. Listen to yourself. Clear the way.
