It might be with regards to working out how to tackle a potentially difficult conversation or situation, or figuring out the next step in business or career, or perhaps preparing for an exam or interview. My first impression is that the key to a successful and productive September may lie with taking time to think about our personal goals and what makes us tick. Plan to clear the decks of anything that's slowing or stopping this from happening. If we keep vigilant and keen to learn, new paths to our goals could open up this month.

For me, the Four of Wands is asking us to acknowledge what we've achieved so far, take a breath and consider what you'd like to come next. That could relate to life in general, or perhaps there's a particular project, ambition or situation that immediately springs to mind. (I know exactly what it means for me! 🙈)

We've a Minor Arcana card this week, and one that looks very busy. That's quite appropriate here, because intense is exactly how I see the Nine of Wands! So why is that energy feeling so intense?

I don't use this deck on a day to day basis, but was drawn to it just now. And I've noticed that this King of Swords isn't ready to fight. He has the armour, a shield, the chain of office and a long, sharp sword - but it's pointing down, not upwards ready to take action.
