Tarot Card of the Week - 13/9/26

Tarot Card for the Week commencing Sunday
13th September 2026
The Four of Swords
Welcome!
The Story the Tarot Card Is Telling Us This Week
The Four of Swords This week we have one of the Minor Arcana cards and I think of these as representing everyday life, rather than the big (Major Arcana) issues.
Swords are a mentally active suit, representing the element of Air, and they relate to what's going on in our minds. Whether we're talking about communication, education and logic, or just how we mentally process and cope with life, Swords deal very much with thought. They can sometimes be regarded as a difficult suit, as they can also suggest conflict, worry and overthinking.
But don't fear the four! If we think of the numbered cards as a journey, from the Ace as a new beginning through to the Ten as completion, by the Four we've made some decisions and started to make progress. So now may be the time to pause and calibrate before continuing.
Fours are where you might pause to consider whether your plans and thoughts so far are bringing you to a place of safety and security or to a place of stagnation.
Our card this week is suggesting that we slow down long enough to get a clear picture and make sure the momentum we've already created is still taking us where we intended to go.
You'll no doubt be aware what's taking up your mind space at the moment. It might be with regards to working out how to tackle a potentially difficult conversation or situation, or figuring out the next step in business or career, or perhaps preparing for an exam or interview. Whatever it is, our Four of Swords is saying create some breathing space so that you can go in with a clear head.
As always, the cards don't tell us what will happen. Instead, they invite us to pause, reflect and ask ourselves the questions that matter.
Questions to Consider
💙 What is occupying my mind at the moment, and why?
💙 Would taking a step back help me see this situation more clearly?
💙 Am I still inspired by my current thoughts and plans, or is it time to adjust them?
This week's message
Put your swords down! Pause & re-calibrate.
