Tarot Card for the Week commencing Sunday

25th October 2026

King of Cups

(Muse of Emotions)

Welcome!

The Story the Tarot Card Is Telling Us This Week

KING OF CUPS, or in the case of this deck, the Muse of Emotions!

Something a bit different! I've used The Muse Tarot by Chris-Anne, a deck I came across at a mind, body and spirit fair earlier today. I was really drawn to its quirkiness!

Having spent a little time getting to know the cards now, I think they're beautiful for personal readings and one-card readings, but I'm not sure I'd use them in spreads for my clients. Although they're Tarot in structure, there's definitely more of an oracle feel to the images. They're abstract, poetic, feminine and flowing, seeming to ask us to explore our personal feelings.

In this deck, the suit of Cups becomes Emotions, encouraging us to connect with what matters to our hearts. And instead of the King, we have the Muse, representing the qualities and wisdom of the suit.

I still regard this as a Court Card, but there's something about this particular image that makes me want to interpret it differently. Normally, I might see the King of Cups as a person who offers emotional maturity, understanding and support. Someone who's learned from experience and can help others to navigate their feelings.

But looking at this Muse - two mirrored figures surrounded by flowing water, I feel the message is much more personal. Perhaps this week, we're being asked to offer ourselves that same emotional understanding and support that we'd give to others.

Emotional maturity isn't necessarily about keeping everything under control or pretending we're unaffected by what's happening around us. Perhaps it's about recognising our feelings & where they're coming from and allowing ourselves some space to work through them.

Questions to Consider

💙 Am I giving myself the same understanding and emotional support that I offer others?

💙 What helps me find my emotional balance when life feels unsettled?

The Muse of Emotions reminds me that being in control of our inner peace doesn't necessarily mean an absence of emotional ups and downs. It may just mean learning how to navigate them without losing sight of our own inner peace.

This Week's Message

You don't have to control every emotion to find inner peace. Listen to your heart, acknowledge your feelings and trust yourself to navigate them.
